Product Introduction

The ME-AL Downdraft System is a matched front-end exhaust collection device independently developed for full-process aluminum alloy surface treatment workshops. It is perfectly compatible with automatic, manual, and vertical anodizing lines, coloring tanks, and electrophoresis production lines.

During oxidation, coloring, and sealing processes, tanks continuously release corrosive acid mist, alkali vapor, and toxic waste gas. Without efficient enclosed air extraction, this mist will corrode workshop steel structures, damage electrical control cabinets, harm operator health, and fail to meet local environmental emission standards.

Our downdraft system forms negative pressure air suction above each process tank via customized air hoods, completely trapping volatile acid and alkali fumes. The collected waste gas is then delivered to three-acid acid mist treatment systems for spray purification, ensuring clean workshop air and qualified exhaust discharge.

Complete System Composition

The full set downdraft ventilation solution consists of modular standardized components for easy assembly and maintenance:

  • Mist Collection Air Hoods: Custom size matching oxidation/coloring tanks, fully cover liquid surface to prevent gas overflow; anti-corrosion PP/UPVC material resistant to strong acid and alkali.
  • Exhaust Gas Conveying Pipeline: UPVC corrosion-resistant pipes and matched valves, smooth inner wall reduces wind resistance, avoids liquid backflow.
  • High-Pressure Air Boosting Fan: Supporting three-blade Roots blower with stable air volume, low noise, long service life under corrosive gas environment.
  • Connection Fittings & Auxiliary Parts: Full range of corrosion-resistant pipe joints, adjustable air dampers for independent air volume control of single tank.
Working Flow
  1. Negative pressure generated by booster fan creates air suction on the top of process tanks
  2. Acid mist and alkali vapor are fully enclosed and captured by air hoods
  3. Waste gas flows through UPVC pipeline to the secondary acid mist washing tower
  4. Waste gas undergoes two-stage chemical spray absorption and gravity demisting
  5. Purified clean gas is discharged up to standard through high exhaust chimney
