Brief Introduction

As core temperature control supporting accessory for MEIAL full-series oxidation production lines, our plate heat exchanger is specially customized for acid & alkaline bath cooling/heating of anodizing, coloring, sealing and micro-arc oxidation processes. It stabilizes bath temperature precisely to guarantee uniform oxide film thickness, consistent sand surface and even coloring effect. Integrated with chiller, circulation pump and heating system, it perfectly matches automatic horizontal, vertical, manual and mini oxidation lines, solving unstable temperature, high energy consumption and hard maintenance problem of traditional tubular heat exchangers.

1. Ultra-High Heat Transfer Efficiency, Stable Bath Temperature for Consistent Oxidation Quality

Unique herringbone corrugated plate design forces fluid to form strong turbulence at low flow velocity. Its heat transfer coefficient is 3–5 times higher than shell & tube heat exchangers, realizing fast cooling/heating response.

  • Strictly lock oxidation bath temperature within ±1℃; avoid overheating-induced thin oxide film, powdering, uneven sand surface and color difference during dyeing & electrolytic coloring.
  • Shorten chiller operation time, cut overall power consumption of the whole workshop by 15%–25%.
2. Compact & Space-Saving Structure, Small Floor Occupation

The integrated stacked plate layout takes only 1/3 floor space of equivalent tubular heat exchangers. Small footprint perfectly fits narrow factory layouts of aluminum profile workshops, no extra civil reconstruction required. Lightweight frame design reduces load on tank platform.

3. SS316L Anti-Corrosion Plate, Adapt to Acid-Alkali Oxidation Harsh Environment

All heat exchange plates adopt thickened SS316L stainless steel, resistant to sulfuric acid, alkaline etching liquid, coloring salt solution and fluorine-containing sand bath fluid. EPDM high temperature resistant anti-acid gaskets are equipped to prevent leakage and extend service life under long-term acid mist humid workshop conditions.

4. Detachable Modular Design, Flexible Capacity Adjustment & Simple Cleaning

Fully detachable bolt frame structure brings two major advantages:

  1. Capacity adjustable freely: Add or reduce corrugated plates according to production capacity upgrade, no need to replace the whole unit;
  2. Easy disassembly & cleaning: Open the frame directly to flush aluminum sludge, oxide impurities and scale inside flow channels, effectively avoid heat transfer efficiency attenuation caused by scaling, greatly reduce maintenance downtime and cleaning cost.
5. Low Liquid Residue & Fast Temperature Response

Narrow thin flow channels retain minimal medium volume. When adjusting production parameters, bath temperature changes rapidly without lag, ideal for hard anodizing, micro-arc oxidation which require strict low-temperature constant control.

Working Principle Matching Oxidation Line

During anodizing & MAO reaction, massive heat generates inside electrolyte. The plate heat exchanger exchanges heat between chilled water and oxidation liquid in countercurrent flow, rapidly take away excess heat to keep bath temperature constant. It can also cooperate with heating equipment to heat sealing & degreasing tanks, realizing dual functions of cooling and heating for multiple process tanks.
